Yes I did delete my live journals.

I took a year to think about it; I have many beautiful memories of the friendships I made (and lost) at live journal, but I felt it was time to close that door. I had two journals over there. Whispers_Scream was a transitional name, though I didn't realise it at the time, and holds very little meaning for me now. Spaz141 will probably always be my identity. I still use it, just no longer in a journal sense.

I'm still very much obsessed with Harry Potter fan fic and the like. However, many of my journal friends have moved on. I guess all relationships evolve and change, even internet ones.

Has anyone seen a spoof of the X-files on Robot Chicken?

I can't find any reference to it on Google or at the adult swim site. It may have just been a promo but my son (who has autism) saw it an it makes a very negative reference to a boy in a wheelchair.

This has really upset him and I need to fully understand what he saw to help him.

Can anyone help me out?

SNOW day! My neighbourhood has about 40cm and it's still snowing!

My goodness! C!rap leaves for work at 5:30am, it took him 1/2 hour to dig out the car before he even got on the road.

My kid's school district is closed, but my Daycare is open (DS2 is staying home anyway). I'm going to try and head out in about an hour, see how far I get.

I was supposed to take my co-worker out for lunch today; I think we'll reschedule.

We don't usually get this much snow on the lower mainland it is amazing.

It's been a while since I participated in this meme and never on IJ.

That men, more particularly, my husband will not change a poopy diaper.

We are utter failures at potty training. I'm the first to admit it and the fourth child is proving to be just as challenging as his older siblings were.

*sighs*

Getting back to the poopy.

We both work.

We both are tired at the end of a day.

This simple thing is driving me to tears.

He will actually bring our son to me with a soiled diaper to change. I have horrific exzema on my hands. I am currently in a bad outbreak. Open sores, the works. The insensitive jerk called husband would rather his wife deal with shit and open wounds than be kind and just change HIS child's diaper.

I've pointed it out. Showed him my hands. He doesn't care. I wash my hands after every diaper change. I'm more than a little squicked to find out that he just wipes down with a wet nap. Good grief, but then again, he refuses to deal with the shit.

I survived another one. Whoot!

December 9th marked the twenty-first year without my mother. I handled the day much better than last year. It is never easy, just some years are different than others.

I've now been without her longer than I was with her. That in itself is a heady notion. I miss her every single day. I don't expect that to ever change. She was a great lady. Not perfect, very flawed in fact, but she was my mum and I consider myself lucky to have had the twenty years with her that I did have.

My father's death in November brought home just how long I have been without a mother. I am truly an orphan, even at the age of forty-one. I don't mourn him, I never will. He was the worst man I ever knew.

My online time is greatly diminished of late, but I am still around. I'm not going away, I enjoy fanfic far too much to disappear completely. *grins*

DD2 has just informed me that she no longer likes the quilt I'm making her.

This has been a two year process. She picked all the fabrics out herself and I am was in the home stretch to completion. I think it is beautiful and turned out better than I thought.

I am so upset and disappointed.

It was a risk and it failed.

Damn.
